The historical Gurudwara Padhau sahib is situated on G.T Road , village Matwani , 3 Kilometers Behind Ajitwal. In old times there was a Lake at this place. The sangat of the area used to come and take holy bath at this place and whenever there’s lack of water , the sangat would take a bath by kneading the mud. At this place, the sorrows of the devotees were relieved and their wishes were fulfilled. While serving at this shrine, the devotees found this Shri Sahib and an arrow which is present inside the Gurudwara Sahib at this time.

ਇਤਿਹਸਸਿਕ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੜਾਉ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪਾ: ਛੇਵੀ ਪੋਇੰਦ ਮੈਟਵਾਨੀ ਕਸਬਾ ਅਜੀਤਵਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਛੜੇ ਵਾਲ ੩ ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਜੀ . ਟੀ ਰੋਡ ਤੇ ਸਿਥੱਤ ਹੈ | ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਸਮੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਛੱਪੜੀ ਸੀ | ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਇਸ ਜਗਾਹ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਸੰਗਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਮੱਲ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਸੀ | ਇਸ ਜਗਾਹ ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਟੁੱਟਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੋਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ | ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਲੜਦਿਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਇਕ ਤੀਰ ਵੀ ਮਿਲਿਆ , ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਮੇ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ | ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਚਰਨ ਪਾਏ ਸਨ , ਰਹਿਰਾਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ . ਪਹਿਲਾ ਇਸ ਜਗਾਹ ਤੇਦਰਿਆ ਵਗਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ . ਮੈਟਵਾਨੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀ . ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦਾ ਛਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਿਟਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਸੰਗਤ ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਉਸ ਦੀਆ ਮਨੋਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ
